David Moon has served as Chief Executive Officer of ImmVue since October 2023 and was an early investor. Mr. Moon is a serial entrepreneur with a track record for moving companies from their formative stages into commercialization or the next steps towards commercialization. His experiences span software, medical devices, consumer products and securities law.

Dr. Sandy Der is a co-founder of ImmVue since its inception in 2017 and currently serves as COO. He was an assistant professor at the University of Toronto where his research areas included microbiology, immunology, genomics and cancer biology. Since 2015, he was a founding partner at Novatio Ventures with focus on investing in early stage biotechs in therapeutics, digital health and diagnostics.

Dr. John Kim is a GI and Head and Neck (H&N) radiation oncologist in the Radiation Medicine Program (RMP), Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, University Health Network and Department of Radiation Oncology, University of Toronto. He has more than 20 years of clinical outcomes research and clinical trials expertise. He has held numerous leadership positions including RMP Deputy Head; RMP Director, Clinical Strategies; inaugural Ontario Health Radiation Treatment Program Co-Chair H&N Communities of Practice; inaugural multidisciplinary Ontario H&N Cancers Lead; and NRG Oncology Clinical Trials Group H&N Liaison and Steering Cancer Committee member.

Director

Dr. Jayan Nagendran is a cardiac surgeon and clinician-scientist, who trained in cardiothoracic transplant surgery at Stanford University. He is the Director of the Division of Cardiac Surgery at the University of Alberta, and Surgical Director of Lung Transplantation for the province. Dr. Nagendran attained a PhD in Experimental Medicine and has been a pioneer in thoracic organ preservation developing the Ex-Vivo Multi-Organ Perfusion Research Laboratory. He is an entrepreneur and was co-founder of Tevosol, a medical device company that developed the Ex-Vivo Organ Support System (EVOSS). Dr. Nagendran successfully completed a first in human investigator initiated clinical trial in lung transplantation with the technology used to develop EVOSS.

Joonsoo Kang investigates molecular mechanisms of T cell lineage fate choices and T cell homeostasis. A field of continuing interest in his lab is the interplay of the prototypical T cell costimulatory and checkpoint inhibitory molecules, CD28 and CTLA-4. His lab is one of the earliest to show distinct in vivo activities of CTLA-4 on different T cell subsets and the first to link ITK to CD28 signaling in vivo to regulate T cell trafficking to tissues. He is a member of the executive steering committee of the Immunological Genome Project.
